The Jamestown’s Lions Club has been assisting Jamestown residents who have low vision or blindness since 1922. The members are planning a Centennial Celebration for Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 6:00pm to be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Jamestown.
The members have been planning for a dinner event that will include 50/50 tickets and a basket raffle. There will be memorabilia displayed looking at the history of the club members.
The Jamestown Club was founded just five years after the International Lions was established in 1917. The mission of the Lions Club is to empower volunteers and partners to improve the health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian services and grants that impact the lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.
